Andrea Hackman, President, One Village Coffee
Andrea is one of those people where a set career didn’t come naturally. Growing up, she was considered the typical Jack-of-all-trades, master-of-none. Her passion was people and service but making that a career didn’t seem viable. It wasn’t until Andrea moved to Texas and began working in a large HR outsourcing and consulting firm, that she discovered her love for business.
It was during her MBA coursework that her family began traveling and brainstorming about the idea of doing business differently. She focused every project on the idea of One Village Coffee. Writing the initial business plan, Andrea was part of the founding team that launched One Village Coffee in 2007. Her initial role was focused on operations and finance. In 2012 as a result of a family meeting, Andrea was identified as the family’s desired successor for One Village Coffee. Andrea returned to One Village Coffee in 2014 and became President in 2016. For Andrea, she found her “sweet spot” with One Village Coffee that combines her personal passions of people, service and business.
Kyle graduated from Temple University with a degree in civil engineering. In 2007, a construction accident left him paralyzed from the shoulders down with very limited arm movement. After years of physical therapy and adjusting to his new life as a quadriplegic he longed for the challenge and excitement of large construction projects. A passion for small businesses and preserving old buildings led to the founding of Hoff Properties.
