Culture Building - Employee Engagement 

It seems like 2023 has been the year of the “Strike.” For awhile there, just about every week brought a new headline of another organized labor force stopping work to picket and demonstrate as part of forcing contract renegotiations. Not every union engagement results from cultural issues in the workplace, however strengthening trust and engagement between company leadership and the employee base has been shown to be a natural deterrent to organized labor achieving a foothold in a company. And aside from union prevention, it just makes good business sense to work towards maximizing productivity through an engaged and trusting workforce.

 Please join our December roundtable for an active discussion of culture-building and employee engagement, and please be prepared to discuss your own experiences to share with the group.

Jim Devine - Univest Insurance HR Practice Leader
Jim is an attorney and human resources executive with over 25 years of experience, serving in various legal and human resources capacities throughout his career. Jim previously served as President and CEO of of the MidAtlantic Employers' Association "MEA" , a member-based organization serving small to mid-sized employers in the tri-state area. Most recently Jim was the director of HR compliance and ethics officer for Olympus corporation of the Americas in Center Valley, PA. His vast industry knowledge includes workplace policy development and HR compliance as well as design, delivery of training programs focused on a variety of compliance-related topics, ranging from harassment prevention, to ethics and integrity best practices.

 There is a parking lot across Main Street between the church and the auto service station.  There is also parking all along the front of the building – no meters – FREE!  Please do not park in the lots behind the building. They are reserved for employees and customers.
Enter the Univest Building by the main doors on the parking side.  Someone will be there to direct you when you enter the building.
