About Us

Living Branches is a not-for-profit system of retirement living and affordable housing communities dedicated to providing quality, life-enriching services on three campuses in southeastern Pennsylvania. The organization employs more than 650 team members and offers a wide range of housing, support services, and engaging activities for more than 1,350 residents.

The name Living Branches is derived from John 15:5, where Jesus teaches his disciples that he is the vine and, as branches, they will draw their strength and sense of mission from him. Living Branches communities are vibrant places where older adults and families lead lives of purpose and joy. Residents benefit from fitness and wellness opportunities, pursue lifelong learning and service, and offer support to friends old and new.

Living Branches was created through an affiliation between Souderton Mennonite Homes and Dock Woods Community. The boards of directors made the decision to affiliate the two organizations in 2008. This decision was made not only because of proximity to each other, but more importantly, because both organizations were ministries of the Franconia Mennonite Conference and shared common beliefs and values.

Today, Souderton Mennonite Homes and Dock Woods offer Residential Living, Personal Care, and Health Care, as well as Memory Care. The Willows provides Personal Care, and residents have access to Health Care within the Living Branches system. Through Dock Manor and Dock Village on the campus of Dock Woods, Living Branches also offers affordable housing for older adults and families.
