Indian Valley Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a breakfast presentation by a panel of Souderton Area High School students who recently completed a week-long, amazing summer program called Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week (PFEW).  During the presentation, students will explain their experiences with PFEW.  Students have previously described this career pathway experience as “life changing.”  As part of Souderton’s Pathway 360⁰ Program, students can earn credit for their Mentorship by participating in PFEW.
PFEW is a one-of-a-kind summer program that offers in-coming high school juniors and seniors a unique and challenging opportunity to see what it is like to run their own business.  The participants engage in a simulation of a management team whose task is to turn their failing company into a financial success! They develop their own marketing strategies, design a website, and make all of the decisions that are demanded of real life company executives.  The students are mentored through this process by business professionals experienced with doing the actual work and making the decisions.
