We are hiring Summer Camp Counselors for our Indian Valley Family YMCA Branch 2026 Camp Season at on-site and off-site camp locations! (DHS Group Supervisor & Asst. Group Supervisor designation)

Salary: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Provides a safe and healthy environment, both physically and mentally, to ensure the operation of a quality program
- Plans and implements program curriculum in a developmentally appropriate manner, meeting the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs of the participants
- Provides careful, attentive supervision of all youth; alert at all times
- Reinforce positive behaviors, teach proper sportsmanship, and bring enthusiasm to every camp day
- Serve as a positive role model, demonstrates professional behavior and understands positive youth development approaches to the social development of participants
- Facilitates a program environment that invites exploration, promotes positive play, and welcomes children
- Maintains positive relations with parents and other staff. Models relationship-building skills in all interactions
- Communicates effectively with staff and parents on a regular basis
- Sets up for and cleans up after all camp activities
Qualifications:
- At least 18 years old
- High school graduate or equivalent (required)
- Preferred two (2) years experience working with children
- Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience and experience working with children.
- Ability to deal effectively with inappropriate behavior and recognize hazard situations.
- Pediatric First aid/CPR/AED certification required
- Must have or complete a PA criminal background check, PA child abuse clearance, Federal Fingerprinting background clearance, and NSOR clearance
