Our April Roundtable will have Laura Kratz, MEd, LPC(NJ) as our guest. Mental Health is Health: Promoting Employee Wellness
Employees are stressed. We will talk about what chronic stress is, the symptoms, and impact on employee wellness (both physical and mental); the impact on the organization; and strategies to support wellness in the workplace. Discussion on how to start the conversation, the benefit of training managers to mental health awareness.
Laura Kratz, MEd, LPC(NJ) is the Clinical Coordinator of the St Luke’s Penn Foundation’s Employee Assistance Program. During her more than 30 years in the mental health field, Laura’s experience includes crisis counseling/screening, program development and leadership, collaborative work with community agencies, and counseling individuals, couples, and families. Laura has provided counseling, traumatic event debriefing, and training for the EAP since 2006.
Jim Devine - Univest Insurance HR Practice Leader
Jim is an attorney and human resources executive with over 25 years of experience, serving in various legal and human resources capacities throughout his career. Jim previously served as President and CEO of of the MidAtlantic Employers' Association "MEA" , a member-based organization serving small to mid-sized employers in the tri-state area. Most recently Jim was the director of HR compliance and ethics officer for Olympus corporation of the Americas in Center Valley, PA. His vast industry knowledge includes workplace policy development and HR compliance as well as design, delivery of training programs focused on a variety of compliance-related topics, ranging from harassment prevention, to ethics and integrity best practices.
